  • my2cents...hiding His Word

    I'm sure we're all familiar with the song, "This Little Light of Mine." It's a great tune, and one that is a favorite among young kids, plus it has a great message..."I'm gonna' tell everyone the good news about Jesus." When we sing this song we never think about hiding the teachings of Jesus, we always think about spreading His word. Did you know there is one place we should be hiding His Word?

    Psalm 119:9-11 says, "How can a young man keep his way pure. By living according to your word. I seek you with all my heart. Do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you." Huh?

    Consider this...if you really want to let your little light shine, you've gotta' hide His words in your heart. Do this and your life will become a beacon of light for people lost in sin.

  • FYI...VBS

    VBS is only 4 days this summer. It begins Sunday, June 21 and ends Wednesday, June 24. Dinner will be available each night from 5:30-6:15pm. VBS is from 6:30-8:15pm. Don't forget to join us for the kick-off starting at 5pm on Sunday night. With live music, inflatables, games, and food you won't want to miss it.

  • my2cents...new classes

    I hope everyone is enjoying the new class schedule. If you have an idea for a 6 week course you'd like to see happen let me know. If you really enjoyed or really DIDN'T enjoy one of the classes currently being offered, sound-off here. Let me know what's on your mind and how I can fix it.

  • So, if you're checking out this blog I'm assuming you have some interest in what's happening with the kids at CCMV. Parents, volunteers, visitors or participants I hope you'll find all the information you need, plus get a picture in your mind about what's actually going on. Check out the blog for dates and times of events, volunteer updates and summaries of what happened to who and when. Sift through the information you're interested in by making use of the blog titles. If you only need volunteer info look for the VIP mark, parents will want to pay special attention to the FYI's and kids will especially enjoy "my 2 cents."     Just a note on the Christmas Eve program, It was truely one of the best Christmas Eves for me in a long time. To hear the sweet voices of the children as they lifted up the story of Christ in song and spirit brought tears to my eyes. Thanks to each one who had part in this production.
